The Michigan Dog Drivers Association (MiDD) is a Michigan non-profit organization dedicated to providing dog training and running opportunities for dog sled drivers and skijorers who want to develop the potential of their teams to run as self-sufficiently and safely as they can. MiDD hosts two timed, non-competitive, dog sledding events each winter that allow participants to gain confidence and experience running a variety of trail terrains (flat and hilly, straight and twisty), a variety of distances (from 5 miles to 25 or more), and running at night. MiDD also hosts winter camping events to practice skills needed for distance running and just to have fun! All these events are held on a 25 mile trail system that MiDD developed and maintains. MiDD encourages dog sled drivers to provide the highest quality dog care by adhering to the MUSH with P.R.I.D.E. sled dog care guidelines.
