The fourth running of the Wooden Nickel 30 mid-distance event hosted out of the Wooden Nickel, Baldwin, MI.
Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26/27, 2008
Drivers meeting: Fri. 01/25 - 9 p.m.
This year we will be running the event with the first leg going out to the Beaver Ponds, 18 miles out and back with additional 9 mile loops from our central checkpoint.

Mark your calendars for our second running of the Sweetwater Challenge, featuring some of the most beautiful, remote and challenging trails in the lower peninsula of Michigan. We are working with the USFS to add another 2 miles to our existing trail system to bring the total mileage to 20 miles each day.

Michigan Dog Drivers Association (MiDD)
Michigan Dog Drivers Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing aspiring mid-distance dog drivers with organized middle distance events under conditions that will allow participants to gain confidence and experience while developing the skills needed for mid-distance events. As part of it's purpose, MiDD will encourage dog drivers to provide the highest quality dog care by encouraging adherence to MUSH with P.R.I.D.E. sled dog care guidelines.
